Meet at the town bridge for a short introduction to bats, covering what they are, what they do, why they are amazing, and how to help them. Then take a short walk down the river, hoping to see some bats flying around. Bat detectors will be available for everyone to hear the bats' echolocation calls. There will be a few stops along the way to talk more about bats. The loop will be completed, bringing everyone back to the town bridge in roughly an hour.  

Details on the walk: A loop around the bottom of Guildford. Pavements or towpath the whole way. Reliant on the weather being dry and not too windy as the bats won’t show otherwise. N.B we can’t guarantee any bats will show up, but we can guarantee you’ll learn a lot about them.  

Bring a torch if you would like too and wear comfortable walking shoes.
