Sustainable Business Network: Launch Event

THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT - the next event will be October 17th, featuring Lauren Wiseman, autjor of WWF's Sustianable Office Guide.

The Sustainable Business Network is a joint venture between Zero Carbon Guildford and The University of Surrey. 

We've spent the last few months interviewing local business to help shape the direction of a local sustainable business network, and planning out the best way to make decarbonising and hitting sustainability goals as easy as possible for Guildford and Surrey SMEs. 

We're ready to take it up a notch, and launch the action plan for the next 12 months, bringing in experts and providing resources and case studies to help you cut through the noise and the greenwashing and focus on delivering on your targets. 

We've got a great series of events coming up over the next 3 months, and to kick it off the official launch of the SBN boasts a great line up: 

 - Dr Stelvia Matos: Head of the Centre for Social Innovation Management at University of Surrey will be presenting on her specialist field, Sustainable Management

 - Hannah Keartland: Outsourced Impact Officer and SBN colleague will be running you through the 12 month plan

- Fiona Ball: Group Director Bigger Picture, Sky. Fiona is Group Head of Sky Climate Action Leadership team, Inspirational Business and Sky Ocean Rescue

The launch event will offer the opportunity to have a roundtable discussion with local SMEs about your shared challenges in hitting sustainability goals, and put your questions towards highly experienced individuals who have countered some of these issues. 

You'll also be able to find out about financial mechanisms which can support you on your sustainability journey, such as LoCASE matchfunding up to £20,000, and non-financial support available to your business through the likes of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership and Innovation Vouchers available from our partners at the University Of Surrey. 

Plus we'll be discussing the incentives for the early joiners of the Sustainable Business Network, including in-depth trianing on devising a carbon management plan for your business.
