Time & Location
31 Aug 2024, 09:30 – 11:30
Albury Vineyard, Albury, Guildford GU5 9BW, UK
About the Event
Albury Vineyard's wildlife trail opened in 2023 and provided a live habitat for birds, bees, flowers and frogs so wildlife can thrive in the vineyard.
Enjoy a guided walk with vineyard assistant Sarah and discover how the Albury team is committed to making great wine sustainability by putting the environment first.
The wildlife walk features bat and barn owl boxes, bug hotels, bee hives, butterfly scrapes, an insect highway, wildflower meadows to attract pollinators, compost pits and a pond! Albury is Surrey's only organic vineyard producing award-winning sparkling and still wines, and they have also received the Crest Award for working in a sustainable way by enhancing the environment. They are the only local vineyard to be using organic viticulture and biodynamics.
We'd like to encourage visitors to donate to Surrey Wildlife Trust through the following link: https://www.surreywildlifetrust.org/donate/donation-form
Please make sure to bring some money for wine tasting at the end if you wish!
